Dearest supporters,
On June 28th, our daughter, Erin Horst, would have celebrated her 30th birthday.
Birthdays are meant to be filled with friends, laughter, and celebration. For Erin, friendship was always the greatest gift she longed for. More than anything, she wanted to belong—to be accepted, included, and loved for exactly who she was.
We are asking 100 compassionate supporters to make a monthly recurring gift of $100 in honor of Erin's birthday. As our heartfelt thank you, you will receive a complimentary ticket to our Annual Gala on August 15th, where we will celebrate the friendships and lives transformed because of supporters like you.
Together, all gifts will help provide the programs, activities, and safe spaces that make life-changing friendships possible.
100 Friends. $100 Gifts. Countless Lives Changed.
Although Erin is no longer with us, her dream lives on through Erin's Hope for Friends.
What began from unimaginable loss has become a place where teens, young adults, and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder Level 1 discover what Erin wished for most: genuine friendship, confidence, acceptance, and community. Every smile, every conversation, and every friendship formed through e's Club carries her legacy forward.
For many individuals on the spectrum, life can be incredibly lonely. They often experience rejection, bullying, and the exhausting pressure to "mask" who they truly are just to fit in. They hide their passions, their personalities, and even their joy because they fear they won't be accepted.
At e's Club, they don't have to pretend.
They can laugh freely, be authentically themselves, and connect with others who understand them. They find something many have searched for their entire lives—a place to belong and friends who accept them exactly as they are.
This is Erin's dream coming to life.
To celebrate what would have been Erin's 30th birthday, we are launching a special campaign with one bold goal:
Nearly 90% of Erin's Hope for Friends is funded through generous donors, making every gift essential. Your support doesn't simply fund programs—it creates belonging, reduces isolation, and reminds someone that they are seen, valued, and never alone.
As Erin's birthday approaches, we ask you to help turn remembrance into action.
Please make a recurring $100 birthday gift or any level today.
Together, we can ensure that Erin's hope continues to change lives—one friendship at a time.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Darren and Stacy
